Fiery Cross

The Fiery Cross is a variation of the poker game, the Iron Cross. In this game it is the usual sort of poker where cards mean what they normally do in strait poker. The Fiery Cross game also includes five table cards in addition to the five cards in player's hands. The Fiery Cross cards are laid out on the table, a sort of north, south, east and west positions around a center card. People playing are dealt five cards in the beginning. Next, bets are made. After each bet completion, another card is turned over. The card in the center and all the cards of the same rank are wild.

You can use any form of card combination to form a hand. The usual terms for best set of cards wins the game for the player. The trick for the Fiery Cross game is sometimes that you can use either card in the vertical position or in the horizontal position. You can't, however, use both at the same time. So you can use the top and bottom card or the two cards to the left or the right but not all of them together.

There may be some other variations to the game too and it just depends on how the dealer wants to play the game. Depending on the game play, the center card may be flipped first or last. This game is very popular for people playing at home in a dealer's choice night. The poker game, the Fiery Cross, is great fun to try.
