Poker Equipment

Running your own poker dealing school won't necessarily be an easy task, as running your own business never is. One thing you don't need to worry about is equipment. The poker equipment you need to run a fully functional poker school is relatively straight-forward and easy to find.

The first and most obvious piece of poker equipment that you will need are cards. You will need lots and lots of decks of cards. Your students will be shuffling and dealing over and over again. The cards will wear out really fast. Larger casinos sometimes replace their decks every day. You should be prepared to replace your cards very often.

Another piece of poker equipment that you will need are poker chips. Your students will need plenty of practice tallying chips and handling chips. By the time they go to a casino to work, their handling of the chips should be flawless. Chips are sturdier than cards, however, and you will need to replace them less often.

Having professional poker tables or quality mock-ups of professional poker tables is important also. Your students will want the experience of dealing and counting chips at a poker table. Once they get to working in the casino, they will feel more at ease if they have learned at a professional table.

Finally, you will need gaming regulations for your state and poker rules books. Your students should be thoroughly well-versed in your state's gaming regulations, particularly as it pertains to poker. Your students should also know how to deal all the more commonly played games of poker by the time they leave your school.
